I needed a bathing suit to wear to water aerobics class. I have not worn a swim suit since age 13 and was understandably hesitant to 1. Buy a swimsuit, 2. buy it online sight unseen 3. Buy it without a review. I received the swim suit very quickly and tried it on and WOW - I can't believe it is me! The look is very 50's sexy with the halter. The ruching (a little at the stomach area) didnt call attention to my mid section area in a negative way. The skirt came down low enough to hide my thighs (a MUST) while still being short enough to not look old (i'm 35). Please note - in the picture the skirt looks like it starts at the waist - but actually starts around the low hip, butt area (more like a peplum) and this makes it look especially retro modern (is that a thing?). I like the halter, however since this was for water aerobics, I did add removable straps to hold my chest area better since the halter alone left me feeling a little loose (36DDD). I will end this review by saying I was pleasantly surprised by the suit and with my one adjustment - completely satisfied.
