This skirt is the bomb! I own two in the ponte knit - perfect for all seasons, comfortable, breathable. Size is true to the usual Lane Bryant sizes, and since I shop in store as well as online, I know how things will fit.

LOVE this pencil skirt

I initially bought this skirt in the fall in red and black and I immediately fell in love with it. It fits well and is very flattering. I also like that the material has a nice weight to it. This time around I bought it in black (one can never have too many black skirts), purple, blue and hot pink. All the colors are wonderful! Can't wait to wear them for spring. I feel they fit true to size, it's a pencil skirt, so it is made to be fitted and this skirt is without being too tight or clingy. Would LOVE LOVE this skirt in grass green and coral.

This skirt is the best purchase I have ever made with LB! I am 5'10 and a size 20. The skirt fall just below my knees and gives just the right amount of hug to the curves. Hope they make this in more colors.

I am 5'9 and wear size 14...this skirt fits like a dream...I have it in black, blue, houndstooth and grey with ruffle. Excellent product in quality, style and fit. The fabric is heavy knit/jersey so has some give and doesn't wrinkle. Great pencil skirt style and very figure flattering. The lenght is perfect for work or with boots for evening out...Perfect in every way. Congrats to the designer...this is a homerun.

A great wardrobe staple

This skirt is great. I got the black and can see that this will work with a variety of tops year-round for church or office . It could easily be dressed up with heels, a silky top and pearls or dressed down with ballet flats, the open front cardigan, a camisole and some chunky silver jewelry. It is heavy enough so that its not see-through, but the fabric is breathable and gives a little when you sit or stand. I ordered my usual size and it fit perfectly. This does NOT have elastic in the waist, so take that into account. There is a little "give" in the waist though. I was (pleasantly) surprised by the length. I am 5'2" and it hits my knees just about an inch below the way it is portrayed in the picture. Normally all my skirts have to be hemmed. Be aware that if you are taller it may look a little shorter on you. The straight cut is flattering, especially with a "flowy" top. A wardrobe staple, and I plan to order the blue as well.

Great Basic - Wish I had gotten more when I could

This skirt not only looks and fits great, the material makes it feel like you're wearing thick sweats - even though it doesn't look it. The skirt itself has great stretch, but keeps its structure. Falls to the perfect length (just above the knee for me at 5'9"). Wish I had gotten more colors when I could, but I was slow and my size has been gone for weeks.

I don't know why -- but it is SO hard to find a good skirt these days. This one beats them all. I love the red color, but the best part is the material. It has a stretch but is not too tight and keeps a good structure. I want this in every color.

I am thrilled to finally own this skirt in the arrowood (yellow). I had been looking at it since I bought the houdstooth version a couple of weeks ago. The stretch of this skirt makes it the perfect pencil option. Unlike many of my pencil skirts (my favorite work silhouette) these are not tight when sitting. The material is softer but they still fit in the classic way. Plus, the length is perfect. So many pencil skirts are just slightly too short on me at 5'6". This one comes right to the bottom of the knee so it is perfect when sitting down. I have a wonderful new camel sweater and fall scarf that were just screaming for this color of skirt and I am thrilled I finally got it. I liked the style so much that I bought the red too.

First of all the material is fantastic! It is soft like sweatpants but has a nice thickness to it leaving the skirt just a bit more structure. It smooths out bumps and lumps and leaves flattering curves! Also It washes well, I hang my nicer pieces to dry so I don't know how well it does in a dryer.
My normal Lane Bryant size fits well while being just form fitting enough to be flattering. I am 5'10" so this skirt is just a little shorter than I would like but it is in no way inappropriate for either work or worship. It can also be vamped up a bit with different top and accessories for a night out.
Its just such a classic style and a timeless piece you really can't go wrong.
