disproportionately small waist

Cons: waist is smaller than i expected
I ordered these a size up. boy am I glad I did. they fit like regular jeans not skinny jeans, *except* the waist is much smaller than I expected. now, normally the waist on any pair of jeans I try on has an extra 6-10 inches, but these are very tight. not so tight I couldn't fasten them, but tight nonetheless. it's worth noting I usually wear low rise, so I may be a little biased ... I'm keeping them because they are such a fun fabric and so versatile.
