these bottoms were high-waisted on me coming up to about an inch from my bra band which is where i wanted it. my issue was there wasn't enough support for me. i wanted a snug fit. i bought my regular pant size (16) and it fit well in the legs and hips, but wasn't tight enough in the tummy area to give the smoothing effect i wanted. sizing down wasn't an option as it would squeeze my legs. for reference: i'm a pear-hourglass with a tummy.

These are the swim bottoms I've been looking for

I absolutely love these bottoms! First of all, they fit very true to size. I ordered my regular pant size and they fit wonderfully. So I would recommend going with your regular size. They are not too high or too low cut on the legs. As for being ultra high-waisted, I really think that'll depend on the body type of the wearer. I have a longer torso and carry quite a lot of weight in my tummy, so these come up about six or seven inches from my bustline, which is fine for me. If you have a shorter waist, or a flatter tummy, they'll come up higher. They have great control in the front, and I feel like everything is pulled in and smoothed out, which has always been a worry of mine when it comes to swimwear. They also stay up nicely because of the thick waistband, so you won't be pulling them up all day. Overall, I would recommend the heck out of these bottoms. Buy them now!

This is perfect style for my aqua aerobics- but the description doesn't say if they r lined (partially or fully) this is important details especially in swimwear- maybe it should be mentioned if they are NOT also thanks- these aren't broad shorts- there high waisted briefs

I ordered these to pair with one of the plunge bra tops. These work great as they say. I normally wear a 22 on the bottom so I ordered them in size 22 and they fit great. Not quite sure what happened with the reviewer that stated they were not high waisted and only came to the natural waist. On me they come up high just a bit under the bust line and hold in the tummy area very well which is what I needed. They also cover the butt area well as well.

Weird fit

I normally wear an 18/20, so I ordered the 20 to be safe. These were ultra high on me, at least in the front, which is surprising because I'm tall (5'10"). The back didn't want to stay up level with the front, and the butt area was a little saggy in the leg opening area, which is really weird because I have a slightly bigger than normal butt. These are going back.

A bit pricy

I purchase my normal size and the fit was perfect!! However, there really wasn't anything special about them for the price. I was able to find bottoms I love at local dept store for a lot less money, and I got these on sale. These look like they come above the belly buttom, they do not. The waist hit my natural waist, so I am not sure why the call them Ultra High!! They are not.

These bottoms are perfect! I carry must of my weight in my tummy and these bottoms help me in some yet where comfy still. The high waist is great and the wide waist band keeps them in place!

I never usually get two piece bathing suits, because I was always annoyed by the roll up effect that in the past left me constantly pulling down my top so my stomach wouldn't show.
The high waist made it possible for me to be much more comfortable in a two piece bathing suit. They are a bit expensive, but you can wear them with any top!

I bought these to wear with a tankini. The waistband held up and it did keep everthing in. It did create a muffin top but the top concealed it well. The worst part was that I got sand in the suit from being in the ocean. It made my bottom look like a beanbag and like I had pooped my pants. I could not get the sand out. I tried for hours. I would not recommend this bottom at all!!!!

I got these bottoms recently and really like them. The miracle suit left a muffin top above them, but these hold me and I feel great. The bottom doesn't ride up. I think the only thing I would change would be to make the legs a little higher cut to add length to the legs. I also liked that there isn't a seam up the middle of the butt like some other suit bottoms that I tried on. I thought that looked strange.

I bought these to go with one of the swim tops, and they fit great! I'm very happy with them. They are indeed very high-waisted, so when I'm in the water nothing shows even if the top floats up. They are comfortable and fit perfectly (true to size). Strongly recommend!

Love the high waisted bottom! I am tall and longer waisted so need the higher waist as most of the tops will rise up at some point.
I originally purchased a size 18 (I wear 18 in pants) and it gaped too much around the thighs so returned it for a 16, which fit perfectly. I am not larger in my butt, thigh, hip area so that could be the issue with this. I would say go size down first to see how it fits.
